Detailed Display Screen: Part 2

Remarks are usually used to indicate the user's whereabouts or any other useful information such as when the user is expected to be back. The Remarks window allows you to select from any number of preexisting standard remarks (e.g. lunch, meeting, doctor, sick, etc.), or you may enter any specific comments you wish by typing them into the blank box that is provided. For more details refer to the section EDITING AND ADDING REMARKS.

When you push the OK button or press the Enter key while in the Remarks window, the window automatically closes. The user’s status then visually changes from IN to OUT (or IN*), the background of the user’s name goes from green to red (or yellow), and the button following the user’s name switchws from IN to OUT (or IN*).

The Detailed Display Screen also contains a menu bar. There are five options on the menu bar: File, Admin, Mini Display, Help, and About (see below).

Under the File menu there are two options, Update and Exit, along with their respective short cut keys. The Update option (shortcut is F5), when selected, will query the Server and update your workstation’s Touch N' Go screen with the latest changes. (Your workstation screen is, however, automatically updated every minute.) The Exit option (shortcut is Ctrl + X), when selected, causes Touch N' Go to close.

Under the Admin menu there are two editing options, along with their respective short cut keys. The first option, EDIT/ADD REMARKS (shortcut is Ctrl + R), allows you to add, modify, or delete any of the standard remarks. For more information on this, see the section EDITING AND ADDING REMARKS. The second option, EDIT/ADD USERS (shortcut is Ctrl + U), allows you to add, modify, or delete any of the users. For more information on this, see the section EDITING AND ADDING USERS.

By clicking on the Mini Display text of the menu bar, you can switch from the Detailed Display Screen to the Mini Display Screen. The Mini Display Screen is described in the following section,THE MINI DISPLAY SCREEN.

Clicking on the Help text will open up Touch N’ Go’s own electronic help file.

Clicking on the About text will give you the About Touch N' Go Systems, Inc. window with addresses and numbers for support or additional information.
