WIN95 WORKSTATION SYNCTIME TO SERVER
Many of you have asked if there was a way to synchronize the time for all workstations using the In-and-Out Board. Currently the program utilizes the individual's computer's system time. Windows Magazine - Special Issue of 2,001 Tips! has a section for Win95 machines to synchronize network time. This information can be found on page 54 and on their website at: http://www.winmag.com/library/1996/1496/tip1m.htm
"Synchronized Network Time - All the Time: From the DOS command line, type NET TIME [\\computername | /DOMAIN[:domainname]] [/SET] to synchronize Win95 to a specified server's time. Automate time synchronization with a server or workstation by creating a batch file and placing the Net Time command inside it. Then place the batch file in the StartUp folder. For example, open Notepad and enter NET TIME MARK'SCOMPUTER. Save the file as SYNCTIME.BAT. When you turn your computer on each morning, the command in the batch file will be executed."
