There are two types of Ole automation errors: 1) one will note the program files involved with this error message. This is an indication there may be date/time and/or version conflicts with the named program files. Each Server and Workstation will have its own install.log which outlines which program files were or were not copied to the windows\system directory.
Corrective Action:
1) Move the program files noted in the message from the windows\system directory, reinstall the program, and restart the machine to properly register the program files.
2) If the problem persists, there maybe more files involved than the message noted. Run the 424.exe which will remove all Touch N Go program files from the windows\system directory - please follow the sequenced steps noted below:
Please follow these steps:
1) move the 424.exe into a temp directory,
2) restart the machine with all applications closed (temporarily remove any from startup,
3) uninstall the In-and-Out Board from the machine having the problem,
4) run 424.exe,
5) re-install Touch N Go,
6) RESTART THE MACHINE, and
7) Start the Touch N Go In-and-Out Board.
You can find 424.exe at ftp://ftp.touchngo.com/pub/entrpriz/424.exe
2) The second ole automation error is a runtime error that reflects a -reference number. This is an indication that the International settings are missing from the win.ini file which must be present for a 16 bit application (not needed for a 32 bit application). Our new Version 1.21 Build 761 will place the proper information into the win.ini file. Please see our Patch section to download the appropriate patch - patchd.exe or patchR.exe. (Effective 12-18-96).
