22 AAC 05.236. Composition of classification committee

(a) A classification committee must be composed of three members appointed by the superintendent of the facility. The superintendent shall designate one member as the chairperson.

(b) A person may not serve on a classification committee if the person

(1) requested or recommended the classification action;

(2) served as a hearing officer or on a disciplinary committee that was convened due to any conduct of the prisoner that is related to the subject of the classification hearing; or

(3) would have been disqualified under 22 AAC 05.450(b) from serving as a hearing officer or on a disciplinary committee that may have been convened due to any conduct of the prisoner that is related to the subject of the classification hearing.
