Each lessee, licensee of a state-issued oil and gas exploration license, or permittee is required to pay any damage that becomes payable under AS 38.05.130 and shall indemnify Alaska and hold it harmless from and against any claims, demands, liabilities, and expenses arising from or in connection with the damage.
