(a) In this chapter,
(1) "commissioner" means the commissioner of natural resources;
(2) "department" means the Department of Natural Resources.
(b) Unless the context indicates otherwise, in this chapter and in AS 38.95.200 - 38.95.270, "real property" means an interest in land and its appurtenances, corporeal or incorporeal.
