Section 515. Horses

11 AAC 20.515. Horses

(a) The use of horses, mules, and burros is allowed in the Quartz Lake State Recreation Area with the exception of the boat ramp and beach area.

(b) The use of horses, mules, and burros is subject to the following conditions:

(1) groups using 10 or more animals must obtain a park use permit under 11 AAC 18.010 before entering the park;

(2) tethering horses, mules, or burros within 100 feet of fresh water is prohibited; and

(3) loose herding of animals is prohibited.
