(a) Prisoners may engage in facility and non-facility work projects approved by the commissioner. Prisoners will be productively employed as defined in AS 33.30.191 for as many hours each day as feasible, not to exceed 40 hours per week unless approved by the commissioner. Prisoners may be required to work inside a correctional facility.
(b) Security supervision of prisoners working on non-facility projects will be provided in accordance with procedures adopted by the commissioner.
