Editor's note: A number of sections in 22 AAC 05 refer to procedures established by the commissioner of corrections. These procedures appear in the Department of Correction's Policy and Procedures Manual which is described in 22 AAC 05.155. Consistent with that section, the department manual is maintained in each facility law library and is available to prisoners. For a copy of the procedures referred to in any of the sections in 22 AAC 05, write to the Department of Corrections, 2200 East 42nd Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska 99508-5202.

As of Register 90 (July 1984), 7 AAC 60 has been relocated to 22 AAC 05, in recognition of the creation of the Department of Corrections by Executive Order No. 55. In their new location, the history notes remain unchanged; the authority notes have been modified to reflect current statutory citations. In addition, under the authority of AS 44.62.125 (b)(6) and sec. 48 of Executive Order No. 55, "division" has been changed to read "department" and related wording changes have been made in 22 AAC 05.
