The commission will seek general guidance for the establishment of minimum criteria for degree programs from the relevant and appropriate regional and national centers and associations charged with developing standards for higher education, as follows:
(1) guidance for associate of arts and associate of applied science degree program criteria will be obtained from the most recent relevant policy statements of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC);
(2) guidance for bachelor degree program criteria will be developed from the most recent policy statements of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers;
(3) criteria for graduate degree programs will be developed from the most recent policy statements of the Council of Graduate Schools;
(4) further guidance for all degree programs will be obtained from the most recent criteria of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
