20 AAC 05.757. Point system for the Cook Inlet Dungeness crab pot fishery

(a) The commission will award a maximum of 21 points to an applicant for past participation in, and economic dependence on, the Cook Inlet Dungeness crab pot fishery as follows:

(1) Applicants who harvested and sold at least 1,000 pounds of Dungeness crab from the fishery over the 1988 - 1992 time period will be awarded points for seasons in which they participated in accordance with the following schedule:

(2) Applicants who harvested and sold less than 1,000 pounds of Dungeness crab from the fishery over the 1988 - 1992 time period will be awarded points for seasons in which they participated in accordance with the following schedule:

(b) In this section, "harvested and sold" means active involvement in a commercial fishing operation by an individual who held both the interim-use permit required by the commission for this fishery and who captured, delivered, and sold the crab resource in accordance with regulations governing the sale of commercially caught species, including regulations that require the proper completion of reports required of processors, buyers, and fishermen.
