A person who uses, or has in possession for the purpose of using, for a commercial purpose specified in AS 45.75.080 , a new or used weighing or measuring device not previously used in commerce, must register the device with the division and pay the applicable registration fee described in 17 AAC 90.920, before the device is used in commerce. Evidence of compliance with 17 AAC 90.740, in the form of a certificate of conformance number, must be shown on the application for registration for each individual device.
