(a) A registered provider may
(1) remove an official rejected tag or mark placed on a weighing or measuring device by the authority of the director;
(2) after repair, place in service, until an official examination can be made, a weighing or measuring device that has been officially rejected; and
(3) place in service, until an official examination can be made, a new or used weighing or measuring device.
(b) A registered service provider shall install, repair, or adjust a device as closely as practicable to zero error, within acceptable tolerances allowed for the particular device under this chapter.
(c) A registered service provider shall conduct business in good faith, which means honesty in fact in the transaction and the observance of commercial standards of fair dealing.
