Some vessels of the division of marine highways are equipped to supply electrical power to a limited number of electrically powered refrigeration units used by vehicles being transported aboard the vessels. The vehicle owner shall furnish a United States Coast Guard approved power cord which is compatible with the electrical system of the particular vessel. Electrically powered refrigeration units will be permitted to operate while on board the vessel. Refrigeration units powered by internal combustion engines or by flammable gas or gases will not be permitted to function while on board the vessel. Use of the electrical outlets is at the sole risk of the user.
