(a) If a problem driver, without good cause, fails to appear for a driver improvement interview, the department will, in its discretion, notify the driver that his or her driver's license will be suspended for a period of one year, or until he or she appears for the interview, whichever occurs first.
(b) If a problem driver does not comply with the recommendations of the driver improvement specialist made at the driver improvement interview, the department will, in its discretion, notify the driver that his or her driver's license will be suspended for a period of one year, or until the driver complies with the recommendations, whichever occurs first.
(c) Suspension of a driver's license under (a) or (b) of this section is effective 30 days after the date of notice.
