(a) An applicant for certification as a general real estate appraiser shall submit verification of 3,000 hours of appraisal work obtained continuously over a period of not less than 30 months; at least 1,500 hours of the appraisal work must be in nonresidential appraisal work.
(b) An applicant for certification as a residential real estate appraiser shall submit verification of 2,500 hours of appraisal experience obtained continuously over a period of not less than 24 months.
(c) An applicant may not receive credit for more than 1,250 hours of experience in real property appraisal in a 12-month period.
(d) In this section, a residential property is one to four residential units.
