Section 490. Applicability

12 AAC 44.490. Applicability

(a) The provisions of 12 AAC 44.400 - 12 AAC 44.490 of this chapter are applicable only to a registered professional nurse whose authorization to perform acts of medical diagnosis and prescription of medical, therapeutic, and corrective measures comes from the nurse's educational preparation, national certification, and authorization to practice in compliance with regulations established by the board.

(b) Nothing in 12 AAC 44.400 - 12 AAC 44.490 limits the usual and customary practice of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse in Alaska.
