(a) A referee is responsible for enforcing the rules of the contest and shall not permit unfair practices or practices that may cause injuries to a contestant.
(b) The referee shall warn a contestant who is committing a foul as set out in 12 AAC 06.190.
(c) If a contestant persists in committing fouls after being warned, the referee may deduct points from the contestant as set out in 12 AAC 06.195 or may disqualify the contestant.
