(a) Unless waived by the board, a self-insurer shall maintain at one location within the state copies of all records necessary to complete and verify the accuracy of all reports and documents submitted to the board. If this requirement is waived, a self-insurer shall, upon 15 days' written notice from the board, provide copies of all records necessary to complete and verify the accuracy of all reports and documents submitted to the board.
(b) All such records must be open to inspection by authorized board representatives during the self-insured's regular business hours and must be retained for three years.
