(a) Before Friday of each week, each contractor, subcontractor, or owner/operator who performs work on a public construction contract for the state or political subdivision of the state shall file with the department a certified payroll (Form 07-6058) that covers the preceding week.
(b) The certified payroll shall be submitted to the department's regional office in the judicial district in which the work is performed.
1st Judicial District - Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Juneau
3rd Judicial District - Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Anchorage
2nd and 4th Judicial Districts - Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Fairbanks
(c) In lieu of submitting Form 07-6058, a contractor may submit the contractor's payroll form. However, the payroll form must contain the information required by AS 36.05.040 and a statement that the contractor is complying with AS 36.10 (Employment Preference).
(d) Owner/operators who perform duties as laborers, mechanics, or field surveyors while working as contractors or subcontractors on a public work project shall be included on their certified payrolls in the same manner as any other laborer, mechanic or field surveyor.
