(a) If the department requires a provider identified in 7 AAC 85.010 to provide information by electronic transmission, or if a provider identified in 7 AAC 85.010(b) voluntarily provides information by electronic transmission, the provider shall submit the information
(1) by a secure electronic transmission procedure approved by the department, unless the department authorizes another form of transmittal;
(2) in a format specified by the department; and
(3) not later than a reasonable deadline specified by the department.
(b) Based on a request submitted to the department in writing, the department may extend the deadline under (a)(3) of this section if the department determines that the provider has shown good cause for an extension.
