7 AAC 56.575. Placement goal regarding children in foster care for more than 24 months

(a) For the purposes of 42 U.S.C. 671(a)(14) (sec. 471(a)(14) of the Social Security Act) and 45 C.F.R. 1356.21(n), the department's placement goal for the state's foster care program is to limit the number of children who remain in foster care for more than 24 months to no more than 35 percent of the foster care population during a fiscal year.

(b) The agency shall report to the department on or before August 1 each year the number of children who, in the previous fiscal year,

(1) were in foster care; and

(2) had been in foster care for more than 24 months; for purposes of this paragraph, the agency shall include the date of placement in foster care for each child.
