(a) When the department requests consultation or services for an adult client, the department may disclose child protection information to the agency or person asked to provide that consultation or service only upon authorization from the adult client.
(b) When the department requests consultation or services for a child client who is committed to the care of the department or is a ward of the state, the department may disclose child protection information concerning the child client as is necessary to acquire the provision of consultation or services.
(c) When the department requests services for a child client who is not committed to the care of the department and is not a ward of the state, the department will disclose child protection information only upon authorization of the child if the child is emancipated, or the child's parent, guardian, or custodian.
(d) The department will require the recipient of safeguarded child protection information to maintain confidentiality standards comparable to those in this chapter as to information disclosed.
