Section 205. Release

7 AAC 52.205. Release

(a) The assigned counselor or the treatment team shall make recommendations regarding the release of a resident, subject to approval by the review board. A resident must be released when

(1) the review board finds that the resident should be released under standards set out in 7 AAC 52.210; or

(2) commitment under AS 47.12.120 has elapsed, and no further commitment has been ordered by a court.

(b) Unless released by order of the court, every committed juvenile will be released only to placement that has been investigated and approved by the probation officer or facility staff.
