(a) The department has determined that a need exists among the state's adult population for the availability of nonmedical residential care. The purpose of the program described in 7 AAC 47.300 - 7 AAC 47.525 is to provide financial assistance to eligible adults, including vulnerable adults, who require the protective oversight of an assisted living home. The program objective is to enable those adults to
(1) obtain the level of care that an individual could receive in the individual's own home from interested friends or relatives; and
(2) live in the least restrictive setting possible.
(b) Repealed 6/24/2004.
