(a) The division will reimburse an enrolled provider according to the per diem rate established under this section for the services described in 7 AAC 43.560(b) (4) and (5) and any necessary screenings, assessments, and evaluations described in 7 AAC 43.552 - 7 AAC 43.556. However, the division will separately reimburse an enrolled provider for psychological testing and evaluation services if those services are unavailable through a residential psychiatric treatment center.
(b) Based on periodic review of appropriate cost studies, the department will determine a per diem rate to be paid for residential psychiatric treatment center services that is sufficient to enlist enough providers so that residential psychiatric treatment center services are available to Medicaid recipients at least to the extent that those services are available to the general population.
(c) The department will periodically determine the per diem rate, in accordance with (b) of this section, and will notify each enrolled provider of any change made in the amount of the per diem rate.
(d) The division will make payment in accordance with 7 AAC 43.075 for residential psychiatric treatment center services provided outside the state.
(e) Notwithstanding (a) - (d) of this section, the division will pay a flat rate of $211 per day to a residential psychiatric treatment center for each therapeutic transition day authorized for a recipient under 7 AAC 43.552(g) .
