7 AAC 32.030. Depressants

(a) Barbituric acid derivatives:

(1) Chemical name 5-Allyl-5 cyclopentenylbarbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Cyclopal, Cyclopen;

(2) Allybarbituric acid or allylisobutyl-barbituric acid, with the chemical name 5-allyl-5-isobutylbarbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Sandoptal;

(3) Aprobarbital, allyisopropyl-barbituric acid, or allylisopropyl-malonylurea, with the chemical name 5-Ally-5-isopropyl barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Alurate, Numal;

(4) Chemical name 5-allyl, 5-isopropyl-1-methylbarbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Narconumal;

(5) Chemical name 5-(2-bromoallyl)-5-isopropyl-1-methylbarbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Eunarcon;

(6) Butallylonal, with the chemical name 5-(2-bromoallyl)-5-(1-Methylbutyl)-barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Dial, Allobarbital, allobarbone, Curral, Diadol;

(7) Barbital, Barbitone, Diethylbarbituric acid of Diethylmalonylurea, with the chemical name 5, 5 Diethylbarbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Vernal, Deba, Uronal, Dormonal, Vesperal, Hypnogene, Malonal, Medinal, Sedeval;

(8) Hexobarbital Sodium, with the chemical name 1, 5-methyl-5-(1-cyclohexenyl)-barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: cyclonal sodium, Evipal sodium, Evipan sodium, Hexanastab, Hexobarbitone-sodium, methenexyl sodium;

(9) Dipropylbarbituric acid, with the chemical name 5, 5-Dipropylbarbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Proponal;

(10) Betethal or Butobarbital, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-butylbarbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Etoval, Neonal, Butobarbital, Soncryl;

(11) Butabarbital sodium, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-scc-butylbarbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Butisol sodium;

(12) Cyclobarbital, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-(1-cyclohexenyl)-barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: cyclobarbitone, namuron, Palinum, Phanodorm, Phanodorn, Tetrahydro-phenobarbital;

(13) Chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-cyclopentenyl barbituric acid, dispensed under the following proprietary name: Pentenal;

(14) Hexethal sodium with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-hexyl-barbituric acid dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Hebaral, Ortal sodium;

(15) Amobarbital or blue heavens, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-isoamylbarbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Amtal, Daprisal;

(16) Probarbital, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-isopropyl barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Ipral;

(17) Pentobarbital sodium, soluble Pentobarbital, or yellow jackets, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-(1-methylbutyl) barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: 844, Embutal, Nembutal, Napethal, Pentyl;

(18) Thiopental sodium or thiopentone sodium, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-(methyl-buty)-barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Intraval sodium, Nesdonal sodium, Pentothal, Thiothal sodium;

(19) Vinbarbital, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-(1-methyl-1-butenly)-barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Delvinal sodium;

(20) Phenobarbital, Phenobarbitone, Phenylethyl-malonylurea or Phenonyl, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-Phenyl barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Barbenyl, Barbipenyl, Dormiral, Euneryl, Gardenal, Luminal, Nunol, Neurobarb;

(21) Mephorbarbital, with the chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-phenyl-1-methyl barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Mebaral, Phemitone, Prominal;

(22) Chemical name 5-Ethyl-5-(1-piperidyl)-barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Eldoral;

(23) Propallylonal, with the chemical name 5-Isopropyl-5-(2-Bromoallyl) barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Noetal, Nostal;

(24) Phenylmethyl barbituric acid, with the chemical name 5-methyl-5-phenyl-barbituric acid, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Rutonal;

(25) Secobarbital, Soluble secobarbital, or Red Devils, with the chemical name Sodium-5-allyl-5-(1-methylbutyl)-barbiturate, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Seconal sodium, Evronal sodium.

(b) Non-barbituric acid depressants:

(1) Chloral hydrate, with the chemical name 2, 2, 2-Trichloro-1, 1-ethanediol, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Chloral, Noctec;

(2) Chloral betaine, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Beta-Chlor;

(3) Chlorhexadol, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Lora;

(4) Ethchlorvynol, with the chemical name ethyl B-chlorvinyl-ethynyl carbinol, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Placidyl;

(5) Ethinamate, with the chemical name (1-Ethynylcyclohexyl) carbamate, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Valmid;

(6) Glutethimide, with the chemical name 2-Ethyl-2-Phenyl glutarimide, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Doriden;

(7) Methyprylon, with the chemical name 3, 3-diethyl-5-methyl-2, 4-piperidinedione, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Noludar;

(8) Paralydehyde;

(9) Petrichloral, with the chemical name Pentaerythritol chloral, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Periclor;

(10) Phencyclidine and its salts, with the chemical name 1-1(1-Phenylcyclohexyl) piperidine, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Sernyl, Sernylar;

(11) Sulfondiethyl-methane, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Tetronal;

(12) Sulfonethyl-methane, with the chemical name 2, 2-bis (Ethylsulfonyl) butane, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Trional;

(13) Sulfonmethane, with the chemical name 2, 2-bis (Ethylsulfonyl) propane, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Sulfonal;

(14) Chlorioazepoxide and its salts, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Librium;

(15) Diazepam, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary name: Valium;

(16) Meprobamate, dispensed under the following trade or proprietary names: Apascil, Atraxin, Biobamat, Calmiren, Cirpon, Cyrpon, Ecuanil, Equanil, Equanil LA, Haronin, Mepantin, Mepavlon, Meproleaf, Meprosin, Meprospan, Meprotabs, Miltown, Nervonus, Neuramate, Oasil, Pameco, Panediol, Perequil, Perquitil, Pertranquil, Palcidon, Probamyl, Quanil, Quilate, Sedabamate, Sedazil, Urbil, Viobamate;
