(a) Before the expiration of a certificate issued under this chapter, the department may inspect a facility or program subject to this chapter to determine compliance with this chapter. A facility or program shall produce at the department's request any document, record, or other written material that the facility or program is required to maintain, including client records. In addition, when requested by the department, each facility or program shall produce any evidence that demonstrates compliance with this chapter.
(b) The department may inspect or investigate a facility or program that is otherwise exempt from the requirements of this chapter under 7 AAC 19.010(b) if the department believes there is good cause for an inspection or investigation.
