Section 100. Availability and accessibility of services

7 AAC 13.100. Availability and accessibility of services

(a) A facility shall make services available at times that enable service area residents to use services.

(b) The governing board of a facility or the program director shall, at all times,

(1) maintain written procedures stating how residents will have access to 24-hour emergency services;

(2) assure that the facility provides regular services on evenings and weekends if the need for those services is determined by the governing board; and

(3) make provisions for serving persons that cannot come to the center.

(c) The governing board or program director of a facility shall make methods of obtaining services known to other human-services agencies and to area residents.

(d) The governing board or program director of a facility shall assure that facility services are listed in the public telephone directory, if one exists.

(e) If facility services are not accessible to physically handicapped individuals, the governing board or program director of a facility shall arrange alternative means for these individuals to receive services.

(f) A facility must have procedures to make interpreter services available in the languages of the major subgroups in the service area.

(g) A facility may not deny services to any person because of inability to pay.

(h) A facility shall provide space for confidential interviews.
