(a) 6 AAC 101 - 6 AAC 140 describe, respectively, the voting precincts established by the division of elections for each House election district established by the Redistricting Board. The election district voting precincts are also depicted on maps approved and adopted by the division of elections in the division's document titled Voting Precinct Maps, dated September 26, 2002, each of which maps is adopted by reference. To the extent any inconsistency may arise regarding the proper location of the boundary of a voting precinct, the boundary locations depicted on the maps approved and adopted by the division of elections take precedence over the narrative descriptions set out in 6 AAC 101 - 6 AAC 140.
(b) If a portion of the boundary of a voting precinct as described or depicted as set out in (a) of this section also forms a portion of the boundary of the election district in which that precinct is located, and if there is an inconsistency between the depiction or description of that portion of the precinct's boundary and the depiction or description of that portion of the election district's boundary under 6 AAC 100.010, the depiction or description of the election district's boundary under 6 AAC 100.010 takes precedence.
