Except as provided in 6 AAC 27.080(b) , if no candidate receives in excess of the required percentage of the votes cast for election to the respective office, the director will hold a run-off election within 30 days from the date of certification of the election between the two candidates receiving the greatest number of votes for the office. The order and notice for a run-off election will be issued three days after certification of the election. The run-off election will be conducted by mail, as prescribed by the director.
