(a) Absentee voting stations will be established through the direction and approval of the director. Absentee voting officials will be present in the absentee voting stations during the following specified times:
(1) in any elections supervisor's office, which is considered an absentee voting station, during business hours, Monday - Friday, beginning 15 days before the election;
(2) between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the Saturday before the election;
(3) between 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m. on the Sunday before the election; and
(4) between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on primary, general, and statewide special election days.
(b) Unless otherwise specified in (a) of this section, the operation of absentee voting stations, other than election supervisors' offices, is limited to the following elections:
(1) primary election;
(2) general election; and
(3) statewide special elections.
(c) Ballots for local option elections conducted by the state under AS 04.11.502 (b) will be available at all election supervisors' offices during business hours 15 days before an election and on election day.
