(a) The following provisions regarding harvest records and annual limits apply to sport fishing for finfish and shellfish in the waters of the Bristol Bay Area:
(1) before fishing for shellfish, a person shall obtain a harvest recording form under the conditions set out in 5 AAC 75.016;
(2) unless other specified in this section, there is no annual limit for sport-caught finfish or shellfish in the waters described in this section.
(b) The following provisions regarding harvest records and annual limits apply to the taking of king salmon, 20 inches or greater in length in the Bristol Bay Area:
(1) a nontransferable harvest record is required and must be in the possession of each person taking king salmon; for a licensed angler, a harvest record appears on the back of the angler's sport fishing license; for an angler not required to have a sport fishing license, a harvest record may be obtained, without charge, from department offices and fishing license vendors throughout the Bristol Bay Area;
(2) immediately upon landing a king salmon, the angler shall enter the date, location (body of water fished), and species of the catch, in ink, on the harvest record;
(3) the annual limit is five king salmon 20 inches or greater in length, per angler, in combination of king salmon taken in fresh and salt waters, of which no more than four king salmon 20 inches or greater in length may be taken from the Nushagak River drainage, excluding the Wood River drainage, and no more than two king salmon 20 inches or greater in length may be taken from the Wood River drainage.
(c) A person may not take a shark in the Bristol Bay unless that person complies with the provisions regarding harvest records and annual limits as described in 5 AAC 75.012. The annual limit is two sharks per angler.
