Except as otherwise provided in 5 AAC 67.022, bag limits, possession limits, and size limits for finfish and shellfish in the Bristol Bay Area are as follows:
SPECIES BAG, POSSESSION, AND SIZE LIMITS
(1) king salmon (fresh waters) 3 per day, and 3 in possession, 20 inches or greater in length, of which only 1 fish may be 28 inches or greater in length, 10 per day, 10 in possession, under 20 inches in length (jack salmon), 5 fish annual limit, and a harvest record is required, as specified in 5 AAC 67.024(b), 20 inches or greater in length in combination of king salmon taken from fresh and salt waters; a king salmon removed from the water shall be retained and becomes part of the bag limit of the person originally hooking it; a person may not remove a king salmon from the water before releasing the fish. (2) king salmon (salt waters) 3 per day, 3 in possession, of which only 1 fish may be 28 inches or greater in length; 5 fish annual limit, and a harvest record is required, as specified in 5 AAC 67.024(b) , 20 inches or greater in length, in combination of king salmon taken from fresh and salt waters; a king salmon removed from the water shall be retained and becomes part of the bag limit of the person originally hooking it; a person may not remove a king salmon from the water before releasing the fish. (4) rainbow/steelhead trout June 8 - October 31 2 per day, 2 in possession, of which only 1 per day, 1 in possession may be over 20 inches in length. November 1 - June 7 5 per day, 5 in possession, of which only 1 per day, 1 in possession may be over 20 inches in length. (5) Arctic char/Dolly Varden June 8 - October 31 3 per day, 3 in possession; no size limit. November 1 - June 7 10 per day, 10 in possession; no size limit. (6) Arctic grayling 2 per day, 2 in possession; no size limit. (7) lake trout 4 per day, 4 in possession; no size limit. (8) northern pike 5 per day, 5 in possession, of which only 1 per day, 1 in possession may be over 30 inches in length. (9) burbot 15 per day, 15 in possession; no size limit. (10) halibut 2 per day, 4 in possession; no size limit. (11) shark 1 per day, 1 in possession, no size limit; 2 fish annual limit. (12) king crab 6 per day, 6 in possession; male crab only; 6.5 inches minimum carapace width. (13) Tanner crab 12 per day, 12 in possession; male crab only; 5.5 inches minimum carapace width. (14) Dungeness crab 12 per day, 12 in possession; male crab only; 6.5 inches minimum carapace width. (15) other finfish/shellfish No bag, possession, or size limits. not specified in this section.
