(a) Except when fishing through the ice or when a subsistence fishing permit is required, for subsistence fishing in the state waters of, and all flowing waters that drain into, the Chukchi Sea or Kotzebue Sound from Cape Espenberg to Cape Prince of Wales with a hook and line attached to a rod or a pole, the following provisions apply:
(1) the methods and means specified in 5 AAC 70.011 and 5 AAC 70.030;
(2) the bag and possession limits, by species, specified in 5 AAC 70.011.
(b) A person may not take a bag and possession limit under this section and a subsistence harvest permit on the same day.
