4 AAC 65.041. Grant award

(a) The department will determine the amount and recipient of a grant award and will notify the applicant in writing of its decision. A determination of the amount and recipient of a grant award is based upon criterion specified by the department, including

(1) information contained in the initial application;

(2) availability of program money; and

(3) demonstrated need for program assistance in the applicant's geographic area.

(b) The department will, in its discretion, also make a determination of the amount of the grant award based on the following factors:

(1) prior grant administration performance, and

(2) demonstrated ability to satisfactorily perform the services required to carry out the grant administration.

(c) A grantee's receipt of program money is contingent upon the grantee's authorized representative and the commissioner or the commissioner's designee signing a grant agreement.
