Section 758. High school graduation qualifying examination results

4 AAC 06.758. High school graduation qualifying examination results

(a) A student's test results from the state high school graduation qualifying examination (HSGQE) selected under 4 AAC 06.755 are confidential and may not be disclosed by a district except as provided by 34 C.F.R. Part 99, dealing with family educational rights and privacy.

(b) The commissioner shall score the HSGQE on a pass or not pass basis, and compile the results by school district, school, and individual student. The commissioner shall annually provide school results to the board and the legislature.

(c) The commissioner shall provide to a school district the district, school, and individual student results for the district.

(d) Each district shall record each student's test results in that student's permanent student record.

(e) Before the end of the school year or within 20 days after receipt of the test results, whichever is earlier, except as provided in (f) of this section, a district shall distribute

(1) class and individual student results to each teacher, for the teacher's classes and students; and

(2) an individual student's results to the student's parents.

(f) After receiving test results for the spring administration of the HSGQE to graduating students in grade 12, a district shall distribute before the final day in session for that school year

(1) class and individual student results to each teacher, for the teacher's classes and students; and

(2) an individual student's results to the student's parents.
