The commissioner shall select a standards-based test to estimate the degree to which students have mastered the academic performance standards for reading, writing, mathematics, and science, adopted by reference in 4 AAC 04.150. Each district shall administer the standards-based test in reading, writing, and mathematics annually to every eligible student in grades three through nine. Beginning in school year 2007 - 2008, each district shall administer the standards-based test in science annually to every eligible student in grades 4, 8, and 10.
