(a) An intrastate interexchange carrier may not discontinue, suspend, or abandon telecommunications service without commission approval under AS 42.05.261 . A carrier that files a request with the commission to discontinue, suspend, or abandon service under AS 42.05.261 shall give written notice of that request to
(1) repealed 9/16/2005;
(2) the carrier's subscribers at the location where the carrier proposes to discontinue, suspend, or abandon service; and
(3) each local exchange carrier and interexchange carrier serving the location where the carrier proposes to discontinue, suspend, or abandon service.
(b) repealed 9/16/2005.
