A person may not be promised payment or paid, directly or indirectly, compensation when transacting a viatical settlement under AS 21.89.110 unless the person is licensed as required under 3 AAC 31.300 - 3 AAC 31.449 as a viatical settlement provider, viatical settlement broker, or viatical settlement representative.
