A new or renewal reinsurance transaction entered into after December 31, 1994 must conform to the requirements under 3 AAC 21.600 - 3 AAC 21.695 if credit is taken by the ceding insurer of the reinsurance transaction, but a trust agreement, letter of credit, or underlying reinsurance agreement that exists before January 1, 1995 will be acceptable in this state until December 31, 1995, at which time the agreement must comply fully with the requirements under 3 AAC 21.600 - 3 AAC 21.695.
