AS 10.55.610. Interrogatories by Department; Judicial Review.
- (a) The department may propound to a domestic or foreign entity that is a party to a transaction under this chapter
interrogatories reasonably necessary and proper to enable the department to ascertain whether the entity has complied with the provisions of
this chapter.
- (b) Interrogatories shall be answered within 30 days or within the additional time fixed by the department. Answers
shall be full and complete, in writing and under oath. If the interrogatories are directed to an individual, the interrogatories shall be
answered by that person, and, if directed to an entity, the interrogatories shall be answered by the president, vice-president, secretary, or
assistant secretary of the corporation or, in the instance of a foreign corporation, the person or persons functioning as comparable officers
in accordance with the laws of the state of incorporation.
- (c) A petition stating good cause to extend the date to answer, modify, or set aside the interrogatories propounded by
the department or to enforce compliance with AS 10.55.620 may be filed in the superior court before the expiration of the 30
days fixed in this section for answer.
