AS 47.35.043. Monitoring; Investigation.
- (a) By the first anniversary of the effective date of a biennial license, including a renewed biennial license, the
licensee shall submit an annual self-monitoring report to the department. The department shall specify, by regulation,
the contents of the report.
- (b) [Repealed, Sec. 85 ch 58 SLA 1999].
- (c) The department may conduct an investigation, including announced or unannounced on-site inspections, for ongoing
monitoring or to assist in its review of an annual self-monitoring report.
- (d) To encourage parents of children in child care facilities to become involved in day-to-day monitoring of the care
provided by the facilities, the department shall require licensees to give to parents of children in child care in the
licensee's facility a summary of the regulatory requirements that apply to the facility and the department's or
department representative's telephone contact number for reporting a concern regarding child care. The department also
may provide notice of the telephone contact numbers for reporting child care concerns.
