AS 47.10.050. Appointment of Guardian Ad Litem or Attorney.
- (a) Whenever in the course of proceedings instituted under this chapter it appears to the court that the welfare of a
child will be promoted by the appointment of an attorney to represent the child, the court may make the appointment. If
it appears to the court that the welfare of a child in the proceeding will be promoted by the appointment of a guardian
ad litem, the court shall make the appointment. Appointment of a guardian ad litem or attorney shall be made under the
terms of AS 25.24.310
