AS 29.05.080. Investigation.
- (a) If an incorporation petition contains the required information and signatures, the department shall investigate the
proposal and shall hold at least one public informational meeting in the area proposed for incorporation. The
department shall publish notice of the meeting.
- (b) The department may combine incorporation petitions from the same general area.
- (c) The department shall report its findings to the Local Boundary Commission with its recommendations regarding the
incorporation.
