AS 15.25.050. Requirement of Filing Fee.
- (a) At the time the declaration is filed, each candidate shall pay a nonrefundable filing fee to the director. The filing
fee for candidates for office of governor, lieutenant governor, United States senator, and United States representative
is $100. The filing fee for candidates for office of state senator and state representative is $30.
- (b) An indigent person as defined by regulations adopted under AS 44.62 (Administrative Procedure Act) may file a statement of
indigency in the form prescribed by regulation in place of the filing fee required by this section.
