TOUCH N' GO OFFICE PERSONNEL TRACKING SOFTWARE NOW AVAILABLE IN AN ENTERPRISE EDITION FOR UP TO 100 EMPLOYEES
ANCHORAGE, AK (June, 1996)-Touch N' Go, Inc. announces the Touch N' Go Enterprise Edition of the leading desktop personnel tracking system. Now the electronic in and out board can trace the whereabouts of up to 100 employees, accommodating from one to five departments, at the touch of a computer key. Touch N' Go saves time, money, and frustration by eliminating the resources wasted looking for coworkers. Touch n' Go differs from manual in and out boards, as it is instantly accessible from all workstations, so it's more likely to be used on a regular basis.
Easy to install and configure, Touch N' Go has an easy-to-use interface with green, yellow, or red highlights for notes such as departure time or specific whereabouts. indicators show whether an employee is IN, OUT, or IN* (in the office, but not available). Preset remarks are available for Lunch, Doctor, and Vacation, and other comments can be added on a one-time basis or permanently.
In and out data history is stored on a common database, which is automatically queried for updates each minute, or users can manually update records at any time. The Enterprise Edition includes a "Drag and Drop" feature to move personnel from one department to another. Editing or deleting users can be accomplished easily by just dragging the employee names to the Edit or Delete options. For additional convenience, the Touch N' Go view window can be reduced in size to remain open in the background. The will show just a list of names with status colors.
When working with several departments, Touch N' Go's Menu item Find feature is useful for locating a name throughout the detail screens and all listed departments. The listed system administrator can, with a a password, take advantage of security features provided by the Menu Item Admin. Administrators can add, edit, and delete users, departments, and common reasons for being unavailable. In addition, settings can be changed to enable/disable military time or Return Time Required, and the refresh variable can be tailored from one minute to any desired time. The length of time to track in/out schedules is determined at the administrator's discretion or by company requirements.
The software works with any Windows environment and operates on all major PC network operating systems, including Novell NetWare, Windows for Workgroups and Windows '95, at no additional cost per user. The server requires 4 MB hard disk space while workstations require 5 MB hard disk space and Windows 3.1 or higher. A 30-day fully functional online demo of Touch N' Go Enterprise Edition can be downloaded from the World Wide Web at http:// www. touchngo.com/tng/tng.htm. The demo can later be registered for continued use or the software can be obtained on a 3 1/2" disk format from authorized resellers or direct from Touch N' Go, Inc.
Touch N' Go will be available in July, 1996, at a suggested retail price of $249.95. The Touch N' Go Classic Edition, designed for small businesses or company departments with less than 20 employees is also available at a suggested retail price of $99.95.
